Poker Rules
If you were to visit a brick and mortar casino you’d find many different variants of poker like 3 card and caribbean poker. But online there are 3 games that rule the roost. Texas Hold’em, 7 Card Stud, and Omaha. Perhaps someday we’ll provide the poker rules for the less common games found a traditional casinos, but since this guide focuses on new players playing with free poker money we’ll stick to the top 3 poker games.
All three games are 5 card poker variants. This means that the winner of the hand is determined by who has the best 5 card hand using the cards available. What you’ll want to do is review the rules of all three games. After you signup a poker account, you may want to even play a few play money poker hands to see how the game flows. Play money is fine for testing out the game but that’s about it. When you’re betting with fake dollars it means nothing, and players just call no matter what hand they’ve been dealt. This ruins any poker strategy that is provided. Get in a real money game with no deposit when you’ve decided which game you like best.
